Unreal Tournament 2004, is a futuristic first-person shooter computer game developed by Epic Games and Digital Extremes. Deathfan from the original Unreal by Elliot Cannon, but much bigger. ONSLAUGHT UT2004 Win XP Levels ONS-Aridoom The road ends here. Only the jutting spires of age old mesas guard you from the elements. And in this case the elements are tank shells. Vehicular combat rules amidst the undulation of the desert. Bunkers guard the nodes and power cores, necessitating a well-coordinated assault.
I decided to post something that no one has done before in the UT/UE forums and that is listing out the cumulative official UT & Unreal maps from then to now. You can bet with this huge list I counted 412 official maps with no repeats of the same map and those maps includes bonus packs, DLCs and exclusives. Out of those 412 maps, only a fraction of those maps are most likely to be created into UT4. It would take a huge miracle if all of those former official UT maps are recycled, re-created, and converted into UT4 and thus could turn UT4 the biggest PC game to date.Note that this forum has a technical issue making a perfect table(s) as well as attachment issues (i.e. Doc or pdf that doesn't work). For now. Also, this page will be modified and updated without notice.Legend.

It would be awesome to make UT4 the most ultimate and definitive version of all by including everything in one package, sadly i doubt that would ever happen.Unreal 1 and UT1 maps didn't even all get ported to UT2004 (some did, most didn't) and even less were then carried on to UT3. Tho i share your interest in all these maps and I have tried to follow instructions on importing levels to next UE but rarely do they work well for me.I do have every UTgold map working in UT and i even have all the DC and PS2 maps in UT for the PC.
For many years i would dream of playing them in the ut2004 engine and now i do so with the UT4 engine. It would be awesome to make UT4 the most ultimate and definitive version of all by including everything in one package, sadly i doubt that would ever happen. Unreal 1 and UT1 maps didn't even all get ported to UT2004 (some did, most didn't) and even less were then carried on to UT3.I suspect that the worthwhile maps will be rebuilt for UT4. Many maps weren't ported to UT3 because UT3 was a failure-there was no reason for anyone to expend the effort needed to remake maps from UT99 and UT 2004 that no one would play.
I had a remake of one of my UT99 maps all cut out and textured, but I abandoned it a few months after UT3's release once I concluded that UT3 was dead. Slightly off topic. The maps I have seen in UT4 pre alpha so far are probably too big to get the core fans of the game back to playing (if they are still out there). The big map theme is a strength of other games, not UT, so I think when people see a big map, they are probably going to choose other games over UT. As for the better maps in UT, fans of the series probably instinctively know that most of these came from UT99 (without mentioning them all, it would be central to get some of these redone).
I feel that a good remake of UT99 or a 'face lift' with graphics would go a long way towards making the game popular again, focusing on the 'run and gun' maps as opposed to the 'sandbox' type of maps (that nobody who played UT in the past would find appealing). I realize that elements from each UT game are probably going to be incorporated into this new version, so I don't know if that is going to spark this new game or not. It's going to be hard to hit that high bar the first game produced (UT99). I would also note that some indie developers are putting out games that actually look very good (Storm United) with UHD and curious as to whether this new UT will even look half as good as that game. I am still hoping one arena shooter will take hold, still looks to be a difficult task ahead. My sentimental favorite to succeed will naturally be UT, would be happy with any arena sci fi game being successful at this point, paid, free, or early access.
I am going to be biulding a new rig when the x800 pro and the amd 939s come down in price a little, but my current rig is2.4 b p4geforce 4 ti 4200 (4600 speeds)512 mb pc2700Do you think both games will run fine?I have 1.5/256 DSL. My speed tests show abou 1300/180 but my ping in games is only about 60 and I think it should be better, any suggestions? It is still good for living in the sticks where I could only get 56k 2 weeks ago.I will probally get both, but I am leaning torwards UT 2004 because it looks to be the more quality game right now and I want to get into clans. Red Orchestra looks sweet too. I borrowed bf 1942 off of my friend and got the dc mod so that should fix my battlefield urge until I get the funds to get bf v.Any more oppinions are appreciated. UT2K4 is the more polished of the 2, has a HUGE amount of content right out of the box and an even huger amount of content in released an upcoming mods.BFV was horribly unbalanced on release and generally much more bug-ridden than UT2K4.So which game do I prefer?
Given a choice to play only one I'd play BFV, I just have more fun playing it. I realize with all the things UT2K4 has going for it I should prefer it but I find the gameplay of BFV much more compelling.Really, they're both must buy titles if you like multiplayer FPS games. They should both run. OK on your Ti4200@4600. For BFV put the details on medium @1078, for UT2K4 put most details on normal @1078. Obviously, no AA/AF.
Why do I like BFV better.First and foremost it's probably that I enjoy the conquest game type and the class based team play.Second, I would have to say that the frenetic pace of UT2K4 can be a bit much for me. I don't mind a fast pace for Deathmatch as twitch reflexes are what it's all about but for objective based games I find that there's no time for strategy of any sort and more often than not it ends up being a confusing jumble. Playing UT2K4 makes me feel old sometimes. The atmosphere in BFV is very immersive and the licensed soundtrack adds to the overall feel immensely. The helicopter is much easier to fly in BFV compared to Desert Combat. The Alien Swarm mod for UT2K4 is very fun and team oriented. The top down view makes for a very different game experience than vanilla UT as well.Red Orchestra hasn't really thrilled me so far.
The maps seem big enough to have been designed for vehicles but there aren't any drivable vehicles in RO yet so I've found it boring and confusing actually. In both games I find using Teamspeak adds immeasurably to the experience if you can find a good group to play (and talk) with. Im confused on how the 2nd poster could say ut2k4 is laggy.we are comparing it to bfvI do not have a computer that is strong enough to play BFV, so I went with UT2k4.
Along with all the problems BFV had right out of the box with ATI owners, I furthermore decided not to buy the game.I'm not going to dog BFV.Why don't you purchase both?BUT - if I had to choose - UT2k4. Just out of the box features. It is sort of hard to judge the 2 because UT2k4 is UT2k3 - only better. They fixed all the broken parts. Added some great features and have made it so easy to make mods. You can't go wrong with either game. It's so stupid to even say you had to choose one - I mean.unless you couldn't afford both.
